Who says that New Yorkers flee the city in August? Well, they do, but they come back too, particularly if they get an email invite from Cinema Society for one of their super exclusive screenings. So on Tuesday night when you’d expect celebs like Diane Kruger and fashion stars Prabal Gurung and Georgina Chapman to be nibbling on branzino at East Hampton’s Nick and Toni’s, they turned out for the Society and Chopard’s screening of the new IFC film Disorder, a psychological thriller.

The screening, held at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema on East Houston, and after-party at Jimmy at the James, drew a great roster of attendees.  In addition to Kruger (in Alexander McQueen and Chopard jewelry), Chapman, and Gurung, guests included director Winocour, Paul Haggis, Taryn Manning, Terry George, Laura Michelle Kelly, Brandon Victor Dixon (taking over Leslie Odom Jr’s role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton), Sally Singer, Ryan Cooper, Fern Mallis, Rose Gilroy, Heidi Mount, Dale Moss, Daniel Benedict, Antoine Verglas, and Cinema Society Founder Andrew Saffir. After all the on-screen drama, everyone was happy to kick back a bit with Qui tequila cocktails (called Riviera Intrigue and Nightwatch in keeping with the film) and Line 39 wine, which smoothed the way for a jolly good time.
